1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using TalkHub, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use TalkHub for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old, or meet the higher minimum age required in your country. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your email password and access to your Google or Facebook account, and all activity performed through your TalkHub account. One account may be active on only one device or browser session at a time where this security feature is enabled.
3. Permitted use
TalkHub is provided for language learning, communication practice, and related community activities. You may use its rooms, voice features, quizzes, library, messages, reactions, and file-sharing tools only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects other users.
4. Community rules
You must not:
- harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or discriminate against another person;
- post spam, scams, malware, sexual exploitation material, or unlawful content;
- share content that violates privacy, copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- circumvent room limits, security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions;
- scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to TalkHub;
- use automated accounts, reactions, referrals, or messages to manipulate the service.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant TalkHub a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, display, process, and moderate that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions required to share your content.
6. Voice rooms and shared files
Voice and community interactions may involve other users whom TalkHub does not control. Do not disclose sensitive information in public rooms. You are responsible for files you upload or download. TalkHub may restrict file types and sizes, scan or block unsafe files, and remove content that creates security or community risks.
7. Memberships, payments, and donations
Paid features, prices, billing periods, and benefits are shown before purchase. Payments may be processed by Stripe or another stated payment provider. Unless required by law or expressly stated at purchase, donations are voluntary and non-refundable. Membership cancellation stops future renewal but does not normally refund an already-started billing period. Taxes and currency conversion may depend on your location and payment provider.
8. Moderation and enforcement
TalkHub may investigate reports and warn, mute, block, remove content, restrict rooms, suspend, or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Room hosts may manage participants within the tools provided, but they are not TalkHub employees or representatives.
9. Third-party services
TalkHub may integrate services provided by Google, Meta, Stripe, Supabase, Render, and other providers. Their services are governed by their own terms. TalkHub is not responsible for third-party services, external websites, or content that it does not control.
10. Service availability and changes
We work to keep TalkHub reliable, but the service may be interrupted by maintenance, network conditions, provider outages, or events beyond our control. Features, limits, and content may change as the product develops. We may discontinue a feature after reasonable notice where practical.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
TalkHub is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee a particular learning outcome, uninterrupted availability, or that all user-generated content is accurate or appropriate. To the maximum extent allowed by law, TalkHub is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
12. Account termination and data deletion
You may stop using TalkHub at any time and delete your account through Account Settings. Facebook-linked users can also follow our Facebook Data Deletion instructions. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, safety, disclaimers, and liability limits—remain effective.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect product, legal, or safety changes. Material updates will be indicated by a new effective date or an in-product notice. Questions can be sent to talkhub.support@gmail.com.
